The Locality Intelligence(LI) Team at Delhivery solves problems related to understanding, disambiguating and localizing addresses, as well as geocoding, geofencing and geospatial analytics that serve as the backbone of over 1 billion successful deliveries across India.

The LI team has enabled Delhivery in operating a Dense network consisting of 70+ hubs and 2000+ last mile centres with an operations staff of over 40,000 people.

We have an opening for a Senior Data Scientist role in the team. Working

remotely from anywhere in India is acceptable.

An ideal candidate:

● has a Bachelor\'s/Master\'s/PhD degree in CS/EE/Math/Stats/ML/OR etc.

● has experience in applied ML with

-relevant Bachelor\'s degree + 4 yrs of relevant experience, or

-relevant Master\'s degree + 3 yrs of relevant experience

-relevant PhD (preferably with some industry/research experience in applied Math/ML/Stats/CS)

● is good in fundamentals of ML, probabilities and statistics

● is able to write and maintain clean and efficient code (preferably in Python)

● is fluent in data analysis and visualization (can efficiently manipulate pandas dataframes or spark RDDs, manipulate data in SQL, and visualize with matplotlib)

● is a great communicator (for managing stakeholders/leadership, evangelizing data science within the larger organization, and mentoring juniors)

● is able to formulate a problem (from vague business problem to concrete ML/mathematical problem statement) and structure it for execution

● has the ability to own, execute and lead a project end-to-end.
