Candidate will lead a small to medium team that will execute strategies to maximize the value of data and identify opportunities to leverage data and analytics for new insights and find solutions to business questions. In this role, you will provide leadership to gain an understanding of the business, take part in the ongoing data analytics activities, collect and prepare data, apply data analysis techniques, develop reporting solutions, present findings and recommendations, outline the value and achieve successful business outcomes and data consumption maturity.

Key Accountabilities

• Lead the execution of the analytics and reporting team.
• Strong hands on in SQL, writing complex analytical queries
• Provide leadership and direct the execution of information reporting and analytics strategies, policies and plans.
• Leverage data and analytics techniques to identify and analyze business needs, identify requirements and define the scope and objectives to enable value opportunities.
• Execute strategies that leverage data and analytics techniques to recommend solutions or improvements to business processes.
• Provide leadership for the team and help to remove barriers and execute strategies that drive successful outcomes.
• Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
• Work with management and project stakeholders to prioritize business and information needs
• Locate and define new process improvement opportunities
• Understanding architectural design and data platform delivery in technologies that include, but are not limited to cloud, ETL, data streaming, data storage, data modelling, APIs/microservices, automation, continuous integration/continuous deployment;
• Showcasing data engineering knowledge around complex efforts within established Software Development Lifecycles and methodologies including agile, scrum, iterative and waterfall
• Showcasing technical knowledge that spans multiple platforms and portfolio of applications with demonstrated knowledge of the business strategic priorities in order to resolve complex problems;
• Utilizing IT processes and frameworks including, but not limited to, Identity Access Management (IdAM), Enterprise Application Integration, Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence, Reporting, Mobility, Master Data Management, and Search;
• Understanding of database structure principles;
• Proven track record and experience in technologies such as: SQL, Snowflake, AWS, Python.

Desired Qualifications:

• Degree in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics
• Preferred knowledge of and experience with databases (SQL, etc) and a keen interest in learning new platforms, tools, technologies
• Proven working experience as a data analyst or business data analyst
• Technical expertise in data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques
• Excellent knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, Tableau, PowerBI)
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
